Wicked

Tonight I went and saw Wicked. My brother Treavor took me for my birthday. It was so good. I had a great time with Treavor. IT was strange to be out with no kids or husband. Treavor and I used to go to plays and musicals before I was married and he was still in college. He took me out to dinner and brought me a program and a Wicked shirt. I really loved the musical and would love to see it again. Thanks Treavor for the wonderful birthday present. I had a great time.

Gwen's Visit

Ever year since Gwen since she was 1 has come and spent at least a week with us. She is always excited to come and when summer gets closer she is asking when does she get to come. Matty loves having her come over to play with him. You would think they are brother and sister by the way they love each other one minute and then fighting the next. They had a blast together this last week and half that she spent with us. We always love to have Gwen come and vist. Her aree some pictures of our time together.

Gwen taught Matty how to go up the ladder at the park.

Monet and Gwen. Best Buds!! It going to be awhile before they get to see each other again. Monet and her family are moving to Maryland.

Matty and Gwen outside of Flicks Fun Fair being silly.

Best Friends!! Waiting in line for Gwen to see all the Princesses.

Gwen and the Fairy God Mother. Funny thing. Gwen bought a autograph book that you put your pictures in. Well Gwen thought she was suppose to write on the pages that go next to the pictures. The Fairy God Mother was so good she said that Gwen was helping her draw the pumpkin carriage for Cinderella and drew one for her and signed the book. Ariel told her she knew she was Gwens favorite from all the waves she drew for her.

2 Months Old

Abby is 2 months old today. Boy how time flies. I can't believe it's already been 2 months. She is such a mellow baby. I have been blessed that she sleeps through the night and gives me so rest. I really need it with the energier bunny Matty as her brother. She loves watching her big brother. Matty loves to hold her and feed her. At her 2 month appt. she wiegh 10 lbs 13 oz and was 21 3/4 in long. She smaller than Matty was at this point which is fine with me. I don't want her to grow up to fast. Before I know it she will be 2. Crazy!!! She has been such a little blessing in our family.

4 Years Ago........

our special little one Drew returned home to our Heavenly Father. Can I believe that it's been 4 years?? Sometimes I can but somedays it seems like it was only yesterday and the pain and sorrow is still there. I still remember that day as if was only yesterday. I am so thankful for everyone who helped us through that time. Our family, our friends, the doctors, the nurses, Bishop Morrison who came to the hosiptal at 3 in the morning and stayed with us until at least 9. Drew was so special he taught us so much in his short 3 1/2 months here on earth. He will always be in our hearts and there are days I feel him so close especially on days I really need him. Since he has passed away we have had 2 beautiful children and I have had people ask me if that takes the pain away. I would say it softens it but it doesn't take the pain away. I am grateful for my babies but I still miss my oldest and look forward to the day that I get to see him again. For such a little guy he had so much strength to go through all he did. We where only able to hold him a few times and they were the best. I remeber Laurie telling us that most premeies don't like to be held but Drew just curled right up on our chest and went to sleep and relaxed. I know he knew that it would be a while before I get to hold him like that again. I thank him for leaving us the comfort and that memory. It's strange to think he is a man on the other side of veil. I know that he is doing the work that he needs to do and his short time here was all part of the plan. I just think how blessed we are to have such a valient person in our family that he only had to come to earth to get a body. I look forward to the day that I get to hold him again and to raise him when satan will not be free to tempt him. I know that somedays are not easy but I know Heavenly Father knows my heart and helps me and I know that we will be together forever. I am so greatful for Andy he has been so strong and has helped me in more ways than he knows, I thankful for all my children they each teach me so much. 4 years have flown by and I still miss and Love my oldest Drew he is with me always!! Here are some of the pictures we have of our little guy........

This picture was taken my Sharon at Long Beach Memorial/Millers Childrens Hosiptal right after Drew was born. He was 1 lb 41/2 oz and 11 in. He was crying when he was born which is not normal for a 23 week old baby.

One of 1st pictures of Drew in the NICU. He had sunglasses for the blue lights and the plastic sheet help keep the moisture in his skin since it was so fragile.

Andy scrubbing before going in to see Drew. Yes, it's like the doctors do before going into surgery. We had to stand there and scrub it seemed like forever every time we would leave and come back. Some days we scrubbed at least 6 times.

This is me changing Drew's diaper when he was a couple of days old. It was hard. He was so little and then I had to do it all his lines and stuff. It is much easier changing Matty and Abby. Linda told me that I needed to change his diaper because I was his Mom and we would be doing more the better he got.

One of Andy's favorite Pic's of Drew.

Andy holding Drew for the 1st time about a week and half to two weeks before he passes away.

Me holding Drew for the 1st time. We didn't tell Andy we were going to get to hold him. Laurie and I wanted to surprise him. I remeber she told me to go home (I was there early in the day) take a shower and make sure I wore a button down shirt so we could do skin on skin. It was the best feeling to hold him after waiting 3 months.

One of our only Family Pictures with Drew. We were so happy!!!

4th of July Weekend

We spent the weekend in Fresno of the 4th. It was a very busy weekend and we didn't get to everything we wanted to do. Time just flew by. One the main reasons we went to Fresno besides fireworks was to see Andy's best freind Mel and his wife Tigon who has been in Germany for the last 3 1/2 years. They are back in CA and it was so great to see them and introduce them to Matty and Abby. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Matty and Gwen having some fun!

Abby trying to get some sleep with all the cousins running around and being hot!

Matty, Gwen, Lil Bryon, and Hunter playing in the little pool in the 100+ degree weather.

Matty, Hunter, and Grandma out cooling their feet off at the pool. As you can tell Matty wanted to cool off his whole body. My Mom kept Matty's shirt one so he wouldn't jump right in. He has no fear when it comes to the pool.

Tiagon holding Abby!!

Gwen loves to hold Abby. She tells everyone that Matty is her brother and Abby is her new little sister. She loves Abby so much and really helps out with her!!

4th of July

What a day!!! We had so much fun. This year we went to my Mom's to celebrate. It was hot in Fresno but not to bad since she has a pool. Andy really likes going there because she lives out in the country and we can set off our own fire works and we can be out as long as we want since there is no one around ( she lives on 20 acres). So Andy saves his pennies all year long to buy fireworks when we go there. This year Matty was really into the fireworks and he had a blast. Matty really liked being able to watch fireworks at Grandma's for 3 nights!!!! It was a fun 4th!

Andy and Matty getting out of the pool after a dip in the pool.

Even though Matty wanted to stay in the pool he got out for a little bit.

Even though Abby didn't go swiming she was all dressed up for it!

Grandpa getting the BBQ ready to put on the tri tips!

Some of our fireworks.
